For family photos, One Soul specializes in finished studio photography. We cater to clients who want the best in classically styled, framed family portraits as art for the home.

What's included in a family photo session?

Our $499 family photo sessions include

  • Planning meeting in person or via Zoom or phone to discuss the desired result of the session.
  • Up to two hours of studio photography for families of up to five members. Optionally, more can be accommodated.
  • Three wardrobe looks per person.
  • Complimentary hair styling and makeup for one. This service is available for more session participants for an additional fee.
  • Full use of our studio’s boundless portrait photography resources. From our hand-painted portrait walls to our digital backdrop system, we can create any setting imaginable to bring your vision to life.
  • Professional posing guidance to ensure you receive flattering portraits that feature the best version of you.
  • Same-day or separate reveal appointment where you’ll see your portraits for the first time and choose the ones you wish to purchase as prints, wall art, albums and digitals for social media use.

Who are family sessions for?

Family sessions are for families of up to five who want professionally crafted portrait art for the home — whether you're refreshing your family portraits, marking a milestone, or creating an heirloom that holds its meaning for generations. Larger families can be accommodated with additional shooting time.

What does a family session include?

Your $499 session includes a planning meeting, complimentary professional hair styling and makeup for one, up to three wardrobe looks per person, up to two hours of studio photography, full use of our studio's portrait resources, professional posing guidance, and a same-day or separate reveal and ordering appointment.

How do you handle young or camera-shy children?

Working as a team is a real advantage here: with more than one of us on hand, we can guide and engage little ones when they're in front of the camera. We provide a bit of babysitting when they aren't. We coach every pose and expression, so sessions stay relaxed and fun.

We're not photogenic. Can you still get great photos of us?

You don't need any experience in front of a camera. We coach you through every pose and expression from start to finish, and our beauty team helps everyone feel polished and camera-ready. Most families walk in nervous and leave surprised by how comfortable it felt.

How long does a family session take?

Session length depends on session objectives, but generally, plan for an hour or so of photography, plus 30–60 minutes with the beauty team beforehand. If you choose a same-day reveal and ordering appointment, add two hours; families with small ones often set the reveal for a separate day.

What happens after the session?

You'll choose your images at a same-day or separate reveal and ordering appointment. Once payment is completed, digital reproductions of your selected images are delivered via Dropbox right away, and physical prints, wall art, and albums are produced and delivered after your order is placed.
