For our traditional, museum-quality canvas prints, we rely on the beautiful craftsmanship of Guild Canvas in Yakima, Washington. Tavis and Amy Guild acquired Ken Whitmire’s esteemed canvas print company in 2017 following Whitmire’s death in 2015. The Guilds continue Whitmire’s legacy and reputation for creating museum-quality, handmade canvas prints for professional portrait artists. Whitmire was a renowned portrait artist and champion of printed media.

This stylish creation from GraphiStudio is a beautifully designed piece of wall art that starts with a foundational backing of fabric over an aluminum substrate upon which our deep matte print is mounted and then matted with hand-deckled Amalfi paper.
Amalfi paper is a remarkable type of paper that carries a rich history and is crafted with meticulous care. Amalfi paper is handmade by Cartiera Amatruda in the ancient duchy of Amalfi, Italy. This region is renowned for its centuries-old tradition of papermaking. The Amatruda family has been involved in paper manufacturing since 1380, and their expertise has been passed down through generations. Each sheet of Amalfi paper is deckle-edged and meticulously crafted using traditional methods that date back to the Middle Ages. The paper is made from cotton, resulting in a luxurious texture.

Our Canvas Wrap offering from GraphiStudio reimagines the traditional canvas print. Our work is printed on cotton canvas that is thin-mounted on a lightly padded, rigid backing. It’s finished with 3D hangars for easy mounting.

Canvas Pro
GraphiStudio’s Canvas Pro is innovation. Graphi uses archival certified 12-color printing to apply our work to luxuriously soft cotton canvas. The canvas is sealed with a protective, anti-glare finish and wrapped bonded to a thin-mount softboard. The art is then mounted onto a specially designed, semi-solid backing comprised a honeycomb interior for lightweight strength. For visual appeal, the exterior of the backing receives your choice of attractive wood fiber, maple, linen, or smooth black or white finishes.
Like the Canvas Wrap, the Canvas Pro comes with built-in 3D hangers for easy wall mounting and two choices of backing thicknesses: 1.2 or 2.3 inches.

Our work is printed directly onto genuine Italian leather (or the sumptuous manmade EcoLeather), which is mounted on a softboard and then onto the same specially designed, semi-solid Pro backing found in our other Pro-series wall art media. Guild Canvas Print
Family-owned Guild Canvas uses a long-practiced manual technique of bonding photo paper to canvas rather than printing directly to the canvas, creating a denser result that’s resistant to warping. The Guilds take it a step further by then hand-brushing the art with four coats of lacquer, allowing a week to cure between each coat. Finally, the art is treated with a single, thin coat of protective acrylic.
